All the Kings Whores…

Once upon a time, America had what the Founding Fathers referred to as a Fourth Estate.

Fourth Estate

In United States English, the phrase “fourth estate” is contrasted with the “fourth branch of government”, a term that originated because no direct equivalents to the estates of the realm exist in the United States. The “fourth estate” is used to emphasize the independence of the press, while the “fourth branch” suggests that the press is not independent of the government.[12]
The networked Fourth Estate

Yochai Benkler, author of the 2006 book The Wealth of Networks, described the “Networked Fourth Estate” in a May 2011 paper published in the Harvard Civil Liberties Review.[13] His explains the growth of non-traditional journalistic media on the Internet and how it affects the traditional press using Wikileaks as an example. When Benkler was asked to testify in the United States vs. PFC Bradley E. Manning trial, in his statement to the morning July 10, 2013 session of the trial he described the Networked Fourth Estate as the set of practices, organizing models, and technologies that are associated with the free press and provide a public check on the branches of government.[14][15]:28–29 It differs from the traditional press and the traditional fourth estate in that it has a diverse set of actors instead of a small number of major presses. These actors include small for-profit media organizations, non-profit media organizations, academic centers, and distributed networks of individuals participating in the media process with the larger traditional organizations.[14]:99–100

Sadly, the Fourth Estate of Benjamin Franklin days is long gone, eaten and consumed in it’s entirety by individuals who have placed their own Marxist ideological ambitions above those who rely on them to provide them with factual information. The Fourth Estate has become a Fifth Column
Treasonous Media, the extent to which it has sold itself into whoredom can perhaps be shown in the hypocrisy of this article. Whereas were they talking about a Republican President who had achieved identical results, they would be crucifying him, here they dare to publicly lamenting that the public isn’t swallowing their propaganda hook line and sinker.

All Three Networks Fret Over Obama Not Getting ‘Credit’ for ‘Better’ Economy

Minutes before the President began his State of the Union address Tuesday night, hosts on ABC, NBC, and CBS all worried that Obama was not getting the “credit” he deserved for how well the economy was supposedly doing. [Listen to the audio or watch the video after the jump]

Talking to former Obama advisor David Plouffe during ABC’s live coverage of the speech, Good Morning America host George Stephanopoulos argued: “…one of the real puzzles the President has to solve tonight, the economy, doing about as well as it’s ever done in his presidency, as he comes into the chamber tonight, but most people don’t believe it and don’t give him credit for it.”

Over on NBC at the same time, Meet the Press host David Gregory was complaining: “Look, the economy’s getting better. That’s what this president had to do, he had to make the economy better. And, yet he’s not getting a lot of credit for it.”

On CBS, Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer observed: “I thought The New York Times had a good headline today on one of their things, it said the economy has rarely been better, but the approval ratings have rarely been worse. People seem to favor many of the programs that the President wants to pass, but they are worried and concerned about whether he can actually – actually get it done.”

The latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll showed 60% of Americans believe the nation is heading in the wrong direction, 68% think the country is in the same place or worse than when Obama took office, and 70% are dissatisfied with the economy.

Remember, these are the exact same Fifth Column Treasonous Media talking heads who crucified GW Bush for an economy where the unemployment rate never exceeded 5.8% and the economy’s annual growth averaged 3.8% per year. Reality isn’t cutting these slack-jawed useless imbeciles any slack either.

The Real Unemployment rate: Still 37.2 percent.

Wall Street adviser: Actual unemployment is 37.2%, ‘misery index’ worst in 40 years

Wall Street adviser: Actual unemployment is 37.2%, ‘misery index’ worst in 40 years

Don’t believe the happy talk coming out of the White House, Federal Reserve and Treasury Department when it comes to the real unemployment rate and the true “Misery Index.” Because, according to an influential Wall Street advisor, the figures are a fraud.

In a memo to clients provided to Secrets, David John Marotta calculates the actual unemployment rate of those not working at a sky-high 37.2 percent, not the 6.7 percent advertised by the Fed, and the Misery Index at over 14, not the 8 claimed by the government.

Marotta, who recently advised those worried about an imploding economy to get a gun, said that the government isn’t being honest in how it calculates those out of the workforce or inflation, the two numbers used to get the Misery Index figure.

“The unemployment rate only describes people who are currently working or looking for work,” he said. That leaves out a ton more.

“Unemployment in its truest definition, meaning the portion of people who do not have any job, is 37.2 percent. This number obviously includes some people who are not or never plan to seek employment. But it does describe how many people are not able to, do not want to or cannot find a way to work. Policies that remove the barriers to employment, thus decreasing this number, are obviously beneficial,” he and colleague Megan Russell in their new investors note from their offices in Charlottesville, Va.

They added that “officially-reported unemployment numbers decrease when enough time passes to discourage the unemployed from looking for work. A decrease is not necessarily beneficial; an increase is clearly detrimental.”

The truth, the real truth is pretty damned brutal. The Unemployment rate is 37.2 percent, during the Great Depression, it was 21 percent. Let that sink in for a few minutes, during the Great Depression everyone saw the effe3cts of the unemployment rate, it’s was made obvious by the long soup kitchen lines and the huge crowds of men lining up anywhere a jobs opening sign was posted. Those things are carefully hidden from everyone’s view today, but not so carefully that they aren’t still visible if you know what you are looking at.

The soup kitchen lines have been replaced with Food Stamps and EBT Cards. The long lines wherever a job opening was posted, buy invisible lines stored in online data bases where job applications are posted. You don’t see the long lines of cars caravaning across the country as the homeless and jobless travel from city to city desperately seeking employment because the open space just no longer exists to allow those kinds of Oakie camps. But most importantly, the Mainstream Media just doesn’t report on it the way they did in the 30′s. The Federal Government denies it, and the Mainstream Media refuses to report on it, so it must not exist.

At the rate things are going, it won’t be long before these Fifth Column Treasonous Media stooges will find themselves facing crowds of angry citizens armed with pitchforks and torches who will be forcibly leading them to the nearest tree or lamppost where a 30 plus foot length of Stout Hemp Rope is waiting to bring them their first true “Come To Jesus” moment, and they won’t have the slightest clue why it’s happening to them.
