A Legislative Accountability Act.

The consequences of the Obama Health care act are yet to be fully realized, there is however one aspect that is indisputably clear to the American people.

Those elected to represent the people of the United States of America in the US Senate and Congress as well as the assemblies of the several states have absolutely no regard for either the US Constitution or the will of the American people.

Moreover they are convinced that they will not be held accountable for their actions in their respected venues. Well are they aware that mere removal from office is not accountability for their actions.

Taking a gun away from a criminal is not holding him accountable for such actions as he may take with that gun, it merely reduces the damage he might inflict in his career as a criminal.

Likewise removing a corrupt politician from office does nothing what so ever to hold him accountable for such actions he might take as an elected official.

The members of the US Senate and Congress as well as the assemblies of the several states need to be held accountable beyond simply having the damage they can inflict upon the country minimized.

It is time that the American people hold their elected officials fully accountable for the affects of the legislation that they force upon the people of the United States.

What we need is a bill that demands a full forensic accounting of every elected officials financial records on a yearly basis and upon every piece of legislation that they sponsor or vote for and criminal sanctions for those who profit above and beyond their mandated salaries or whose legislation causes harm to the US Constitution or people of the United States.

It time that the American people end the political Oligarchy that has stolen our country from us, it’s time to bring the gravy train for the elitists to a screeching halt.

It’s time that politicians face the consequences of their arrogance and be reminded in no uncertain terms that they are the servants of the people, not the masters of their own personal fiefdoms.

  1. The first step is to STALL by any means necessary within the law. Filibusters and hearings from the pols, civil disobedience from WE THE PEOPLE.

NO more major votes before November, whatever it takes.

  2. Guess I’ll go forth and propose even more extreme restrictions. If you have served in congress, you must reside and remain at least 100 miles outside of DC for the rest of your natural life. Failure to do so will result in a harsh penalty.

  3. What we need is a Constitutional Amendment which reads something like this: “The Congress shall pass no law from which the members themselves are exempt.”
